Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using a Red Grid Tactical app ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App. These terms cover Red Grid MGRS. The Lifetime Pro commitment below applies to Red Grid MGRS purchases made through the App Store or Google Play.

2. App Usage

Red Grid MGRS is designed for land navigation, land-navigation training, offline map use, field reference workflows, and team awareness in outdoor activities including search & rescue, backcountry navigation, hunting, and training exercises. The App is provided as a navigation or coordination aid, not a life-safety device.

Official Red Grid MGRS builds obtained from the App Store or Google Play may be used for lawful personal, professional and internal organizational purposes, including supported store-managed deployment. No separate written commercial-use permission is required for that end use. Required Pro entitlements and the applicable store license, usage and distribution rules still apply.

The source-code license separately governs reuse and distribution of the source and restricts selling the software or a substantially derived product or service. It does not prohibit the official-app end use described above.

You may not use this App for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the App.

3. Privacy & Data

Red Grid MGRS is offline-first. The app does not run Red Grid user accounts or embed analytics, advertising networks, tracking systems, or Red Grid cloud sync. Position data, waypoints, report worksheets, incident records, session data and configuration remain in local app storage unless you deliberately export, share or transmit them. Online map providers and app stores handle requests for their own services, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Red Grid MGRS team features require Pro and compatible Meshtastic radios. The phone connects to a radio over Bluetooth; traffic between radios uses LoRa. Red Grid MGRS does not provide direct phone-to-phone Bluetooth or peer-to-peer Wi-Fi team transport. Actual range and delivery depend on terrain, vegetation, weather, hardware and radio configuration.

4. Field Limitations

GPS accuracy, MGRS coordinate accuracy, Bluetooth range, peer-to-peer connectivity, Meshtastic radio behavior, and map tile availability are subject to device hardware, environmental conditions, platform limits, and third-party services outside our control.

Red Grid apps are not a substitute for proper communication equipment, certified navigation equipment, paper maps, compass, training, or mission-approved procedures. Do not rely on any mobile app as your sole life-safety system.

5. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

Lifetime Pro: buy once, keep Pro. A Red Grid MGRS Pro Lifetime purchase provides permanent access to Pro, including all future Pro features and updates we release for Red Grid MGRS. Major version upgrades, redesigns and changes to our pricing model will not require a Lifetime purchaser to subscribe or buy Pro again. Existing Lifetime purchasers receive the same protection as new purchasers.

A renamed or replacement version of Red Grid MGRS will honor these purchases. If a replacement requires a separate store app record, we will provide existing Lifetime purchasers a free migration path before retiring the original app. This is our commitment to preserve the purchase; it is not a claim that receipts automatically transfer between app records.

Lifetime access has no renewal date or time limit. Losing an internet connection or a temporarily unavailable store response does not make a valid Lifetime purchase expire. A purchase actually refunded, voided or explicitly revoked by the store no longer provides that entitlement; a missing or failed store response alone is not proof of revocation. Any separate valid entitlement remains protected.

Use Restore Purchases with the Apple or Google account that made the purchase. Store account, device and usage rules govern restoration and sharing. An individual Lifetime purchase is not an organization-managed pool of seats, and automatic transfer between Apple and Google accounts or stores is not implemented. The license does not expire when supported hardware or operating-system requirements change. Individual features can require compatible hardware, maps, radios or platform capabilities. Store availability and third-party services are subject to their providers; the Lifetime purchase does not promise that every future device can run the app or an unlimited support service. These practical limits do not permit us to remove your Lifetime Pro status, charge again for future Red Grid MGRS Pro features, or force you into a subscription.

Subscriptions. Monthly subscriptions are a separate option and do not change Lifetime rights. Payment and any renewal are handled by your Apple or Google account under the terms shown at checkout. Manage or cancel a subscription through the store's subscription settings before its renewal deadline. Store refund policies and any rights required by law apply.

Your saved records. Creating and editing incident workspaces and ICS 214 logs requires Pro. Saved incident records remain readable and exportable in the installed app if Pro access ends. Keep independent backups before uninstalling, replacing a device or an organization removing a managed app.

These product commitments supplement the applicable store agreement. For Apple downloads, the Apple Standard End User License Agreement remains the app license unless a custom agreement is expressly supplied through the store. Nothing here removes rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

EXCEPT FOR OUR EXPRESS LIFETIME PRO COMMITMENT AND RIGHTS THAT CANNOT LAWFULLY BE EXCLUDED, THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. GPS accuracy, MGRS coordinate accuracy, map availability, and connectivity are subject to device hardware, environmental conditions, and other factors outside our control.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that coordinates will be accurate to any particular precision.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE DEVELOPERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM USE OF THE APP.

Always carry proper navigation equipment including compass, paper maps, and backup communication devices.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms and will publish the revised date. A later update to these terms or our pricing cannot shorten, withdraw or narrow the Lifetime Pro rights already granted to a purchaser. Any changes remain subject to applicable law and store agreements.
