By downloading, installing, or using a Red Grid Tactical app, including Red Grid MGRS or Red Grid Link ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.
Red Grid MGRS is designed for solo navigation, land-navigation training, offline map use, and field reference workflows. Red Grid Link is designed for team awareness and coordination in outdoor activities including search & rescue, backcountry navigation, hunting, and training exercises. The App is provided as a navigation or coordination aid, not a life-safety device.
You may not use this App for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the App.
Red Grid Tactical apps are offline-first. We do not run user accounts, analytics, advertising networks, tracking systems, or Red Grid cloud sync. Position data, waypoints, saved areas, session data, and configuration remain on your device unless you deliberately export, share, download map tiles, or transmit data through a peer-to-peer or mesh feature.
Field Link peer-to-peer communication occurs directly between devices via Bluetooth and peer-to-peer Wi-Fi. Red Grid MGRS Meshtastic features communicate with compatible radios over Bluetooth and LoRa. Actual range and delivery depend on terrain, vegetation, weather, device hardware, and radio configuration.
GPS accuracy, MGRS coordinate accuracy, Bluetooth range, peer-to-peer connectivity, Meshtastic radio behavior, and map tile availability are subject to device hardware, environmental conditions, platform limits, and third-party services outside our control.
Red Grid apps are not a substitute for proper communication equipment, certified navigation equipment, paper maps, compass, training, or mission-approved procedures. Do not rely on any mobile app as your sole life-safety system.
Certain features require a paid subscription or one-time purchase. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
Subscription management and cancellation are handled through your device's account settings (Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions on iOS, or Google Play > Subscriptions on Android). Refund policies are subject to the respective store policies.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. GPS accuracy, MGRS coordinate accuracy, map availability, and connectivity are subject to device hardware, environmental conditions, and other factors outside our control.
We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that coordinates will be accurate to any particular precision.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE DEVELOPERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM USE OF THE APP.
Always carry proper navigation equipment including compass, paper maps, and backup communication devices.
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
